STRENGTHENING COMMUNITY RESILIENCE: FINANCING CLIMATE CHANGE ADAPTATION

2:15 - 3:15 pm

As climate change intensifies, rural and agricultural communities are increasingly vulnerable to extreme weather events, shifting growing conditions, and economic disruptions. Financing climate adaptation is critical to building resilience, yet mobilizing capital for adaptation projects remains a challenge. How can financial institutions, governments, and private investors work together to unlock funding for community resilience initiatives? What innovative financing mechanisms and investment models are emerging to support climate adaptation at scale? And how can the agriculture sector, a frontline industry in climate adaptation, leverage finance to implement nature-based and technological solutions that safeguard food security and rural economies?
